Old Belgian black metal band. Original drummer and founder of a band, Cernunnos, commited suicide 1997.

After the band left Blackend Records, the label re-issued the first four full-length albums in a single boxset "collection" without the band's knowledge, which led the group to regard the release as an unofficial bootleg they oppose.

Nornagest wrote lyrics for Antaeus' last effort, "Blood Libels."

As of 2006, when Sabathan left, no original members exist in the band.
