TUMULUS: Sredokresie

Sredokresie ("between two fires" is among the meanings) is one of the periods of a slavic pagan annual circle, in a modern calendar corresponding approximately to the end of February and the beginning of March. It's the transition time from winter to spring, the border between death and life. It's the exultation of so-called "evil spirits" (in Christian treatment). The winter takes away with itself spiritually weaks ones who are unable to stay on the narrow Path between the reality and the Beyond.
