Viking black metal band from Iceland. Started as a solo project by Eldur. On the Völuspá-trilogy, all instruments and vocals were done by Eldur with help from some session members.

''Fortíð'' is Icelandic for ''past''.

In late 2008, Eldur moved to Norway.
